Todd Badeau, 35, of State College, was apprehended by police after a serious and potentially deadly domestic incident, according to police.
Police were called to South Pugh Street for a health and safety check on where they found Badeau and his girlfriend in a home filled with destroyed items on Monday, CBS21 says.
The woman told police Badeau punched and shoved her in the bathroom, where she hit her head on the toilet and tub before he sprayed her with lighter fluid and began "flicking his lighter at her saying he was going to set her on fire," police said in the criminal complaint according to the outlet.
He has been charged with one count of felony aggravated assault - attempts to cause serious bodily Injury or causes injury with extreme indifference, according to his court docket. He was released on $10,000 in unsecured bail, according to his docket.
His preliminary hearing has been scheduled with Magisterial District Judge Thomas N. Jordan on Dec. 15 at 8:30 a.m., according to his docket.
